A woman was sat in the passenger seat.\u00a0 Two men then came up to the car from St Leonard\u2019s Street \u2013 one on either side of the vehicle.\u00a0 One of the men demanded that the driver open the door, and he refused. The woman passenger then called 999, and it seemed that the two pedestrians ran away.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The driver and passenger waited a while.\u00a0 As it appeared that the two pedestrians had left the area, they started getting out of the car \u2013 but as they did so the two pedestrians returned.\u00a0 Again, one of the two men demanded that the driver get out of the car and again the driver refused. The man then made it clear that he had a knife, and he also pointed a gun at the driver \u2013 threatening to shoot him if he did not get out of the car.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At this point the driver and passenger both got out of the car and the two pedestrians got in. \u00a0They were joined by a third man and then they drove away quickly.\u00a0 The three suspects were described as young men in their 20s, black and of slim build. They were said to be wearing dark coloured tracksuits and balaclavas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Detective Constable Sasha Halai, who is investigating, said,\u00a0\u201cThis incident has left the victims shaken. We know that a number of people saw what happened and we are appealing to them to get in touch. Any detail, photos or videos could help with our investigation and find the suspects who are potentially armed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u25cf<\/strong><\/span>Anyone who has any information which could assist the police, and\/or who sees the missing BMW, is asked to call the police on 101, quoting the reference CAD800\/3 June.
